2011 Youth Biathlon Day
Saturday November 19, 2011 - McMiller Sports Center in Eagle, WI
The Wisconsin Biathlon Association invites all area boys and girls to experience biathlon, the Olympic winter sport combining cross country skiing and rifle marksmanship. No previous experience is needed, so come on out and join the fun!
WHAT: Wisconsin Biathlon Association certified coaches and experienced athletes will present a biathlon overview with topics on biathlon safety and basic shooting fundamentals. The clinic will consist of an indoor presentation along with outdoor instruction and practice on the McMiller biathlon range. The event will conclude with a short relay-race and prizes.
TIME: The event will start at 10:00 A.M.
WHAT TO BRING: Participants should plan to dress for outdoor weather and wear athletic apparel and running shoes. All the required equipment will be supplied.
AGES: The event is for youth ages 11-15. Parents are welcome to accompany younger athletes.
COST: The event is free.
REGISTRATION: To help us anticipate the number of participants, you are asked to pre-register by calling (262) 378-9635 or by completing this online form. You will also need to bring along the registration waiver to turn in the day of the event.
LOCATION: The McMiller Sports Center is located 2.5 miles South of the Village of Eagle on County NN. From Eagle travel south on Hwy 67 to County NN, West on County NN to the McMiller entrance.
