2014 Wisconsin Biathlon Cup



Introduction

The Wisconsin Biathlon Association presents the 2013-2014 Wisconsin Biathlon Cup. New this season the cup has been expanded to five events! Whether you are an experienced biathlete or trying the sport for the first time, there is an event for you. Come on out and join the fun! Dates are subject to change based upon current conditions, so check back often. Watch for additional event information to follow.


Location

Events #1, #3 and #5 will take place at the Blackhawk Ski Club in Middleton, WI. Events #2 and #4 will take place at the McMiller Sports Center in Eagle, WI.

Participation Requirements

All events require previous biathlon safety certification. See the event calendar for upcoming safety certification clinic dates.


Age Divisions & Awards

Medals will be awarded to first, second, and third places in the following age classifications for both men and women of each event:

  • Junior Boys/Girls (13-14)
  • Senior Boys/Girls (15-16)
  • Youth (17-18)
  • Junior (19-20)
  • Senior (21-29)
  • Master (30-39)
  • Senior Master (40-49)
  • Veteran (50-59)
  • Senior Veteran (60+)

Series Scoring & Awards

Overall Wisconsin Biathlon Cup champions will be named in each age group at the conclusion of the season. Points will be awarded based upon placing in each event as shown in the table below. Each competitors four best races will be counted towards the season total. The individuals with the highest four event point totals will declared the series winner and will receive a special award. You must complete at least three events to be eligible for the series award.
